Gymnastics Continues to Build Momentum as Postseason Approaches

PRIOR LAKE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers gymnastics team put together a strong effort but came up short against the Prior Lake Lakers, falling 141.800 to 134.225 in a South Suburban Conference dual on Tuesday night at Prior Lake High School.

Despite the team loss, Farmington saw several standout performances, including Alana Oden, who claimed first place in three of the four events. Oden took top honors on beam (9.500) and vault (9.175) while finishing second on floor (9.050) to lead the Tigers.

Natalie Griffith added a solid showing with a second-place finish on vault (8.325) and bars (7.600), while Kamryn Schmucker took first on floor (9.225). Cydney DeRuyck contributed to the team's effort, finishing fourth on beam (8.150) and third on vault (8.225).

Farmington posted its highest event score on floor with a 35.225, led by Oden's second-place finish. The team also impressed on beam with a 34.150, with Schmucker and Oden securing the top two finishes for the Tigers.

Farmington will close out the regular season with a final SSC dual against the Rosemount Irish on Tuesday, February 4 at the TLLC in Farmington. Meet begins at 6:00 pm.
