Tigers Hold Their Own in Deep Field at Lakeville South Invitational

LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Farmington High School Dance Team continued its early-season campaign on Saturday, competing in a high-caliber invitational hosted by Lakeville South. With several accomplished programs in attendance, the Tigers showcased strong routines and steady growth across all divisions.

RECAP
Farmington's varsity squads competed in both jazz and kick categories, delivering confident performances amid a tough lineup of teams. The Varsity Kick team finished in sixth place, while the Varsity Jazz team earned seventh. At the junior varsity level, the Tigers placed fifth in JV Kick and sixth in JV Jazz, while the B squad took sixth in the Jazz division.

Despite the challenges posed by a competitive field, the Tigers maintained focus and energy throughout the meet. The event served as an important opportunity for the team to continue refining routines as they move into the second half of the season.

Senior dancer Allie Rodgers reflected on her leadership role this season, sharing,

"I love performing so stepping onto the floor after a break is always a highlight! This year I have been fortunate enough to be the first one to walk onto the floor for both kick and jazz, which is so special—being able to lead my team onto the floor. For the last half of the conference season, I'm hoping for us to finish strong, improve each and every time, and be proud of ourselves no matter what!"

UP NEXT
The Tigers return to action at Lakeville South once again, this time for a South Suburban Conference Jazz meet on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
