EAGAN, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers boys lacrosse team kept their early-season momentum rolling Tuesday night, defeating Eastview/Apple Valley 10-7 at Eastview High School to improve to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in South Suburban Conference play.

Farmington came out strong, scoring three first-quarter goals and adding four more in the second to take a 7-3 lead into halftime. The Tigers leaned on their balanced offense and timely defense to fend off a late push from Eastview/Apple Valley in the fourth.
Junior Parker Nivala led the scoring attack with four goals and one assist, while AJ Vinar added two goals and two assists. Henry Ulrick and Tanner Gylling each chipped in with a goal, and Brooks Furney and Drake Anderson also found the back of the net for the Tigers.
Defensively, Will Harris anchored the midfield and ground ball play with a team-high 13 ground balls, while goalie Hayden Houghton recorded 12 saves on 19 shots for a .632 save percentage.
Despite a three-goal fourth quarter from the Lightning/Eagles co-op squad, the Tigers closed the door with two goals of their own to seal the win and open conference play with a key road victory.
