FARMINGTON, Minn. – On a rainy Thursday night at Tiger Stadium, the Farmington Tigers girls lacrosse team battled through slippery conditions in a hard-fought 10-8 loss to Minnetonka. The matchup between two unbeaten teams lived up to expectations despite the elements, with the Tigers dropping to 3-1 on the season (1-0 SSC) while Minnetonka remained perfect.

Persistent rain fell throughout the evening, creating a slick playing surface and adding a layer of challenge to the high-level non-conference clash. Minnetonka built an early edge with a 6-3 lead at halftime, but Farmington fought back behind a resilient offensive push in the second half.
Riley Wicklund led the Tigers with five goals on eight shots, including three in the second half to keep Farmington within reach. Jaida Steffes added two goals and two assists, while Addison Moudry contributed a goal and an assist in a game that saw both teams adjust to wet field conditions.
Despite the loss, Farmington outshot Minnetonka 19-17 and won the ground ball battle 21-17. Goalie Lily Blanchard stood tall in net, recording 12 saves on 22 shots for a .545 save percentage while navigating a slick crease.
