FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Last Thursday, the Farmington Tiger Marching Band represented their school and community on one of the state's biggest stages, performing as part of opening day festivities at the Minnesota State Fair.
The students began their day by marching in the annual Minnesota State Fair Parade at 2 p.m., followed by a featured performance on KARE 11 News at 6 p.m. Viewers of the newscast were finally rewarded with a student performance after a brief interview.
At the conclusion of the day, it was announced that Farmington placed second in their class out of five competing bands in the parade competition. The performance marked a strong showing for a group of students whose hard work and dedication to the marching arts continues to impress.
Fans can catch the band in action again during pregame and halftime performances at the first home football game this Thursday night at Tiger Stadium.
