Farmington Boys Basketball (9-5, 3-3 SSC) came up a bit short on Tuesday, January 24 when they traveled to the South Suburban Conference leading Shakopee Sabers (9-4, 6-1 SSC). The Sabers beat Farmington 71-65 at Shakopee High School.
Farmington played from behind most of the night as Shakopee worked to earn a 4-point halftime lead. The Tigers showed resilience in the second half, however, couldn't manage to claim the lead.
Brandon Hrncir was the team's leading scorer on Tuesday night netting 15 points in the loss. 10 of Hrncir's 15 points came in the paint. He pulled down a total of 8 rebounds in the contest.
Connor Todd scored 12 points in the game and was 2 of 5 from three-point land.
Baiden Bean managed 10 points on the night and was alos 2 of 5 from beyond the arc. Bean's defensive effort produced a total of 5 steals.
As a team, the Tigers shot 43.6% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc. The team struggled a bit from the free throw line sinking on 16 of 25 shots.
