Big Night for McAbee but the Tigers Fall Short to the Irish
Rosemount, MN - After a big win at home Monday night vs Owatonna, the Tigers took to Rosemount. Early in set one Rosemount served Farmington off the court establishing a quick 7-1 lead. The Irish grew the lead to 8, leading 13-5 before the Tigers got comfortable and stood their ground. Behind Ella McAbee's dominant performance at the net offensively and defensively Farmington clawed back to tie the game at 14 apiece. Rosemount took a 15-15 tie and turned it into a 20-15 lead, continuing to push forward and winning set one 25-21.
Despite a great effort in set two the Tigers started the same, quickly down 1-5 and then 2-10. Farmington wasn't able to shake the set two deficit and went on to lose 12-25.Â
Set three was more of a battle to start, all the way to an Irish lead of 10-8. Rosemount stepped on the gas, growing their lead to 21-13 and then outscoring Farmington again 4-2 to win the match and set 25-15.Â
Sabrina Caven led the Tigers with 7 kills, Ella McAbee, Jada Henrikson, and Taylor Hagedorn all with 3 apiece. Maddy Dombeck with 2 herself and collected 16 set-assists.Â
Final Score - Rosemount defeats Farmington; 25-21, 25-12, and 25-15.
