LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls volleyball team faced a tough road test on Tuesday night, falling in straight sets to No. 1-ranked Lakeville South by scores of 15-25, 19-25, 22-25 in South Suburban Conference action.

The Tigers showed improvement throughout the match, tightening the score with each set, but were ultimately unable to overcome the Cougars' firepower. Farmington battled back in the third set, leading for stretches before Lakeville South closed the match with a late run.
Farmington posted a team hitting percentage of .076 and tallied 21 assists on the night. Taylor Hagedorn led the way with 2.5 assists per set and added one ace. Kayley Schuenemann served three of the team's seven aces, while Elexis West and Sabrina Caven contributed on the defensive end with a combined 10 digs.
At the net, the Tigers recorded three total blocks, including a pair from Braelyn Hendrickson. The serve receive improved set to set, highlighted by a team rating of 1.96 in the final frame.
UP NEXT
Farmington (record not provided) returns home on Thursday, September 25, to host Eagan in another conference matchup. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. at Farmington High School.
