Tigers Have No Answer Against the Cougars.
Lakeville, MN- Â Lakeville South, currently ranked #4AAAA, took it to the Tigers early in the first set establishing an 11-0 lead showing everyone in the gym why they're ranked in the top ten. From that point on the Tigers were able to side out and battle back, losing set one 16-25.
Set two started out similar, with the Cougars leading 9-2 before a Tiger timeout. Farmington was able to score a few points but not before another Lakeville South run and Tiger timeout at 15-4. Set two was quickly forgotten about as the Cougars defeated the Tigers 25-6.Â
Farmington showed life throughout the entirety of set three. With 12 ties and back and forth leads Farmington held their largest lead 16-13 forcing South's first timeout of the match. As play continued the scores remained close, until South topped the Tigers in the third 25-23.
Sabrina Caven led the Tigers with 7 kills, while Ramsie Witt collected 4. Mya Sharp tallied 4 aces, and Maddy Dombeck had 17 set assists. Defensively for the Tigers, Lexi West had 16 digs, Sharp and Bot had 8 a piece.Â
Final Score - Lakeville South defeats Farmington; 25-16, 25-6, and 25-23.
