FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers delivered a signature win on Tuesday night, defeating the three-time defending Class AAA state champion Totino-Grace Eagles, 81-74, in an electrifying matchup at Farmington High School. The Tigers showcased a combination of defensive intensity, timely shooting, and late-game composure to secure the victory.

Both teams struggled offensively in the opening minutes, but Farmington found its stride late in the first half. Led by a stifling defense, the Tigers built a 12-point lead by halftime, 36-24. The Tigers came out strong in the second half, extending their lead to as much as 19 points before Totino-Grace began a furious comeback.
The Eagles went on an 11-0 run midway through the second half, cutting Farmington's lead to just three points with over eight minutes remaining. Farmington responded with critical defensive stops and clutch free-throw shooting down the stretch to hold off the rally and secure the upset.
