Farmington Falls to Prior Lake in SSC Opener

PRIOR LAKE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers struggled to keep pace with the Prior Lake Lakers, falling 53-43 in their South Suburban Conference opener Tuesday night at Prior Lake High School. The loss drops the Tigers to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

RECAP

The Tigers found themselves in an early hole as Prior Lake capitalized on their offensive opportunities to take a 35-24 lead into halftime. Farmington's defense tightened in the second half, limiting the Lakers to just 18 points, but the Tigers could not generate enough offense to overcome the deficit.

Farmington was led by Gianna Carpentier, who scored 17 points, and Carly Olson, who added 11. Despite strong individual efforts, the Tigers struggled to find consistent scoring.

For Prior Lake, Bree Bowman led the way with 12 points, while Alaya Carter added 11. The Lakers' balanced attack and timely shooting helped secure the win.

The Tigers will look to bounce back on Friday, December 13, when they travel to Burnsville to face the 0-5 Blaze in another SSC matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
