FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers secured their second win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Chaska Hawks 72-61 in a non-conference matchup at Farmington High School. The victory marked another impressive result for the Tigers, who improved to 2-1 on the season while handing the Hawks, another top-ten ranked team, a tough road loss.

The first half saw a tight contest as both teams traded blows offensively. Farmington found success from beyond the arc, hitting six three-pointers, while Chaska kept pace with their own sharpshooting. The teams went into halftime tied at 34, setting the stage for an intense second half.
Farmington broke the game open in the second half, leaning on a strong defensive effort to limit Chaska to 27 points over the final 18 minutes. The Tigers' balanced attack featured three players scoring in double figures, with key contributions on both ends of the floor.
Farmington's ball movement and ability to convert from long range were pivotal, as the team recorded 18 assists and knocked down 13 three-pointers. Defensively, the Tigers forced 13 turnovers and converted them into 21 transition points.
TOP TIGERS
- Ryan Beckwith led the Tigers with 18 points, hitting three three-pointers and adding three assists.
- Briggs Sheridan tallied 17 points, including five three-pointers, to go along with three assists.
Cole Wilcek contributed 12 points, six rebounds, and eight assists in an all-around performance.
- Nik Domier provided eight points and three assists off the bench.

Farmington returns to South Suburban Conference action on Tuesday, December 17, when they travel to Eagan for a matchup with the Wildcats. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Eagan High School.
