FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers dominated the Burnsville Blaze on Friday night at Farmington High School, earning a decisive 68-29 victory in South Suburban Conference action. The Tigers improved to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play with the win.
RECAP
Farmington came out strong, building a commanding 40-11 lead by halftime with a stifling defense and efficient offensive execution. The Tigers forced 22 turnovers and converted them into 23 points while dominating in transition with 19 fast-break points.
In the second half, Burnsville found more offensive rhythm, but the Tigers continued to control the game, maintaining a comfortable lead and closing out the victory.
TOP TIGERS
Carly Olson led the Tigers with 21 points, shooting 10-of-12 from the field, while adding 19 rebounds and 4 assists.
Gianna Carpentier added 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Ashley Harrison chipped in 8 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
Jaedin Boyd and
Ali Simonson contributed 3 and 4 points, respectively, while hitting key free throws.
Farmington's defense was relentless, tallying 16 steals and forcing Burnsville into a tough shooting night, holding the Blaze to just 30.2% from the field and 0-for-12 from beyond the arc.
