Tigers Fend Off Royals In Non-Conference Victory

Farmington, Minn. -- In a fiercely contested non-conference matchup at Farmington High School, the Farmington Tigers managed to narrowly fend off the Woodbury Royals, securing a hard-fought victory with a final score of 66-65 on February 7th.

The game saw both teams trading baskets and defensive stops throughout, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. The first half saw Farmington taking a slight lead with a score of 31-27. However, Woodbury fought back in the second half, outscoring Farmington 38-35, setting up a tense finale. Despite Woodbury's determined effort, Farmington held on to their slim lead until the final buzzer, clinching the win by a single point.

Standout performances for Farmington included Ashley Harrison, Hannah Hansen, and Bailey Garrahy, who contributed 19, 15, and 15 points respectively. Woodbury's efforts were led by Harper Vossen and Mattea Henry, who scored 15 and 12 points respectively, but ultimately fell short in their quest for victory.
