Lakeville, Minn. -- In the Section 1AAAA quarterfinal match-up between Farmington High School and Lakeville South, the Farmington Tigers concluded their girls basketball season with a 76-54 loss to Lakeville South. Throughout the game, Lakeville South showcased dominant offensive play, securing a commanding lead early on.
Despite Farmington's efforts, they faced challenges in closing the point gap. At halftime, Lakeville South led 40-26, maintaining their momentum into the second half, ultimately securing the victory with a final score of 76-54. Farmington's offensive efforts were led by
Gianna Carpentier with 14 points, followed by
Bailey Garrahy with 11 points. However, it wasn't enough to overcome Lakeville South's formidable performance. With this loss, Farmington's girls basketball season comes to a close.
