FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers cross country teams tested themselves against top regional competition at the 38th annual Roy Griak Cross Country Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstad Golf Course. The Tiger boys placed 15th out of 36 teams in the Maroon Division, while the girls faced stiff competition in the Championship Division, finishing 34th out of 45 teams.
BOYS RECAP
The Tigers were led by sophomore Patrick Carroll, who finished 34th overall with a time of 18:04.5. Junior Adam Johnson wasn't far behind, crossing the line in 38th place with a time of 18:11.5. Freshman Carter Lippold placed 78th with a time of 18:49.3, followed by sophomore Evan Buss, who clocked in at 19:18.1 for 116th place. Freshman Wesley Toensing rounded out Farmington's scoring five with a time of 19:37.4, finishing in 147th.
Additional contributors included senior Caleb Morris (20:07.7), freshman Aidan Gillespie (20:20.5), freshman Kieran Willenbring (20:36.1), and senior Krister Vigesaa (22:01.0). Farmington's balanced performance helped them secure a strong 15th-place finish in a competitive field.
GIRLS RECAP
In the girls Championship Division, sophomore Lauren Lansing was the top performer for Farmington, finishing in 69th place with a time of 20:42.3. Junior Sophia Venning crossed the line in 148th place at 21:23.8, followed by senior Lindsey Woestehoff, who posted a time of 22:00.1 to finish 215th. Eighth-grader Mara Brock clocked in at 22:16.9 for 243rd, while senior Brylee Cavanaugh completed the scoring with a time of 22:23.5 in 258th place.
Other notable finishes included seventh-grader Shelby Carroll (22:44.9), seventh-grader Mia Tooley (22:57.7), sophomore Lillian Reuss (23:07.4), and senior Ella Loduha (25:02.6).
