Tigers' Late Push Falls Short in Loss to Rosemount

FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers came up just short on Monday night, falling 70-68 to the Rosemount Irish in a tightly contested South Suburban Conference matchup at Farmington High School. The loss extends the Tigers' losing streak to three, their longest since the 2022-23 season. Farmington now sits at 5-6 overall and 2-4 in SSC play.

RECAP
The Tigers started strong, jumping out to a 36-40 halftime deficit after battling back from an early hole. Behind sharp shooting from beyond the arc, Farmington stayed within reach throughout the contest. Marshall Gordon led the first-half effort, connecting on four three-pointers and finishing with 15 points for the game.

Rosemount countered with a balanced offensive attack, shooting 51.9% from the field, including 11 made three-pointers. The Irish capitalized on Farmington turnovers and transition opportunities to build a slim lead late in the game.

Farmington made a push in the final minutes, with Cole Wilcek leading the charge. Wilcek scored a team-high 16 points, including five free throws down the stretch. Despite their efforts, the Tigers couldn't overcome the Irish, who sealed the game with clutch shooting and defense in the final moments.
