ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers put up a strong fight but ultimately fell to the Rosemount Irish 79-69 on Monday night at Rosemount High School. With the loss, the Tigers drop to 8-7 overall and 2-5 in South Suburban Conference play.
RECAP
Farmington battled throughout the first half, holding their own against a potent Rosemount offense. The Tigers trailed 36-32 at halftime, led by a sharp-shooting performance from Gianna Carpentier, who tallied 14 of her team-high 23 points in the opening half.
Despite a strong second half effort from the Tigers, Rosemount extended their lead behind their transition game and second-chance opportunities. Farmington saw contributions from Carly Olson and Bailey Garrahy, who combined for 21 points, but the Irish's balanced attack proved too much to overcome in the end.
