Girls Basketball Cruises Past Shakopee for SSC Victory

FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers put together a dominant performance on Friday night, defeating the Shakopee Sabers 70-42 at Farmington High School. The Tigers improved to 11-11 overall and 5-8 in South Suburban Conference play.

Farmington set the tone early, using an efficient offensive attack and strong defensive effort to build a 31-20 halftime lead. Gianna Carpentier led the way with a team-high 15 points, while Carly Olson and Lauren Jackson each contributed 10.

The Tigers continued their momentum in the second half, outscoring the Sabers 39-22 in the final 18 minutes. Farmington's balanced scoring attack and aggressive defensive play helped secure the wire-to-wire victory.

Shakopee struggled to find offensive rhythm against the Tigers' defense, with Alexis Breeden leading the Sabers with 10 points.

Farmington looks to continue its strong play on the road as they travel to Eagan on Tuesday, February 11, for a 7:00 p.m. conference matchup against the Wildcats.
