FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers boys lacrosse team improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 11-2 win over Rochester on Friday night at Tiger Stadium. A strong second half fueled the Tigers, who scored eight unanswered goals between the second and fourth quarters to take control.

Rochester struck first, scoring the only goal of the first quarter to take an early 1-0 lead. Farmington answered with three goals in the second quarter to build momentum heading into halftime.
The Tigers kept the pressure on in the second half, outscoring Rochester 8-1 over the final two quarters. Henry Ulrick once again led the attack, tallying four goals and an assist. Caden Hennes added two goals and two assists, while Parker Nivala and AJ Vinar each chipped in with two goals.
Will Harris also found the back of the net for the Tigers, and Brooks Furney added an assist to round out a well-balanced offensive performance. Farmington's defense limited Rochester to just nine shots on goal for the night. Goalie Hayden Houghton made seven saves, finishing with a .778 save percentage.

Farmington will open South Suburban Conference play on Tuesday, April 22, when they travel to Eastview to take on the Lightning. Face-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
