LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls golf team opened South Suburban Conference play on a high note, finishing 2nd out of 10 teams at the first league meet of the season on Monday at Crystal Lake Golf Club. Farmington posted a team score of 350 (+66), just six strokes behind Lakeville North (344), who took the top spot.
RECAP
The Tigers were led by 8th-grader Maddie Klein, who turned in a composed round of 83 (+12) to finish 3rd overall among all individual competitors in her SSC debut. Sophomores Jayla Mao and Scarlett Hedrick each carded rounds of 88 (+17) to help pace Farmington's team effort.
Alana Hansen (91, +20) provided another strong showing in the fourth spot, while senior Annika Reuss and 8th-grader Chloe Friesz each contributed rounds of 96 (+25) to round out the varsity lineup.
Farmington's consistency from top to bottom gave them the edge over a competitive field, finishing six strokes ahead of third-place Rosemount (356) and comfortably ahead of several other SSC rivals.
