PRIOR LAKE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls golf team turned in a strong performance at the Prior Lake Invitational on Monday, finishing 6th out of 16 teams at The Wilds Golf Club. Competing against a field packed with top Class AAA and AA programs, the Tigers posted a team score of 362 (+74) on a challenging layout.

Sophomore Jayla Mao led the way for Farmington, firing an impressive round of 75 (+3) to finish 4th individually among a large and talented field. Mao's steady play throughout the day helped anchor the Tigers' team effort.
Eighth grader Maddie Klein contributed with a 95 (+23), while sophomores Scarlett Hedrick and Alana Hansen each carded matching rounds of 96 (+24). Chloe Friesz rounded out Farmington's scoring with a 99 (+27).
As a team, Farmington's consistent play allowed them to edge out South Suburban Conference rivals Eagan and Rosemount, and stay close to Edina and Lakeville North, two of the top teams in the state.
