FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls volleyball team earned their first win of the 2025 season on Monday night, defeating Rochester Century 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 25-15) at Farmington High School. The Tigers improved to 1-1 on the year after opening the season with a five-set loss to Northfield.
RECAP
Farmington opened strong with a 25-21 first-set win, using aggressive serving and solid defensive play. Rochester Century answered in the second set, evening the match with a 25-21 result. From there, the Tigers took control, limiting errors and increasing offensive efficiency to win the third set 25-17 and close out the match 25-15 in the fourth.
The Tigers finished with 15 aces, 70 digs, and 37 assists on the night, pulling away in the final two sets with improved serve receive and consistent play at the net.
TOP TIGERS
- Braelyn Hendrickson led the Tigers with a .294 hitting percentage, three assists per set, one ace, and three digs.
- Taylor Hagedorn added four aces and 11 digs while hitting .150 on the night.
- Lila Johannsen contributed five service aces and 14 digs to lead the back row.
- Addi Gibart posted a .235 hitting percentage and recorded 0.50 blocks per set.
- Sabrina Caven added four digs and a .103 hitting percentage over four sets.
UP NEXT
Farmington heads back on the road Wednesday, August 27, for a 7:15 p.m. matchup with Section 1AAAA opponent Rochester Mayo at Mayo High School.
