BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls volleyball team picked up their third win of the season on Tuesday night, defeating Bloomington Jefferson 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-14, 25-18) in a non-conference matchup at Jefferson High School.
RECAP
Farmington came out strong in the opening set, using aggressive serving and efficient transition play to take the opener 25-20. The Jaguars responded in set two, edging the Tigers 25-22 to even the match. From there, Farmington took control. A dominant 25-14 third set swung momentum back to the Tigers, and they closed out the match with a balanced effort in a 25-18 fourth-set win.
The Tigers recorded 12 aces and 34 assists while limiting errors in key stretches. Defensively, Farmington totaled 53 digs and held Jefferson to a .047 hitting percentage on the night.
TOP TIGERS
- Lexi West posted five aces, 18 digs, and a 1.75 serve receive rating while serving at 100%.
- Addison Otto hit .188 with 0.50 blocks and added one dig.
- Taylor Hagedorn tallied two aces and six digs with a 2.08 serve receive rating.
- Lila Johannsen finished with nine digs, two aces, and one block assist.
- Sabrina Caven added three digs and hit .069 across four sets.
- Kayley Schuenemann recorded a 1.000 hitting percentage and three digs.
