Girls Hockey hosted Section 1 AA opponent Owatonna in the first round of the 17th Annual Louis Schmitz Holiday Classic at Schmitz-Maki on Tuesday, December 28.
Farmington won the game 4-3.
At the end of the first period, Farmington had earned a 1-0 lead. Owatonna would tie the game in the second, 1-1. In the third period, Owatonna scored first making the score 2-1 Huskies.
Sam Moehle netted a power play goal to tie the game at 2.
Madison Kadrlik scored her own power play goal just a few minutes later to give the Tigers the lead back. Midway through the period, Owatonna tied the game at 3 on an even strength goal.
Sam Moehle, assisted by
MaKenna Kadrlik and
Jenna Bethke, produced the game winner at 12:25 to give the Tigers the 4-3 win.
