ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers closed out the 2025-26 season in dramatic fashion Saturday afternoon, rallying for a 3-2 overtime victory over Bemidji to capture the MSHSL Class AA Consolation Championship at TRIA Rink. With the win, Farmington finished the year with an impressive 24-5-1 record.

After a scoreless first period, Bemidji took control in the second. Emma Greiner opened the scoring at 11:04 on a power play, assisted by Bailey Rupp. The Lumberjacks added to their lead at 16:47 when Rupp scored at even strength off a feed from Bergen Bakke, sending Farmington into the second intermission trailing 2-0.
The Tigers responded early in the third period. At 3:10, Lexi Giller put Farmington on the board with an even-strength goal to cut the deficit in half. Giller struck again at 7:43, finishing off a play assisted by Josey Empey to even the score at 2-2.
Farmington continued to apply pressure, outshooting Bemidji 16-15 in the third period and 48-41 overall, but Bemidji goaltender Lily Lauer made key saves to force overtime.
In the extra session, the Tigers completed the comeback. At 3:42 of overtime, Amelia Goblirsch scored the championship-clinching goal at even strength, with assists credited to Jenna Goblirsch and Taylor Risch, sealing the 3-2 victory.

Lexi Giller led the offense with two third-period goals to spark the rally. Amelia Goblirsch netted the overtime winner, while Jenna Goblirsch, Taylor Risch, and Josey Empey each recorded assists. In net, Makena Underwood made 26 saves to help secure the win.

Saturday's victory marked the final game of the season for the Tigers, who conclude the 2025-26 campaign as the MSHSL Class AA Consolation Champions with a 24-5-1 overall record.
