HASTINGS, Minn. – Farmington High School girls hockey overwhelmed Hastings with a 9-0 shutout win on Thursday night at Hastings Civic Arena. The Tigers controlled all three periods to improve to 7-2-1 overall.
RECAP
Farmington opened the scoring just 18 seconds into the first period when Norah Kratz netted an even-strength goal off a feed from Jenna Goblirsch. The Tigers added goals from Ryann Bengston and Amelia Goblirsch—who scored on the power play—to build a 3-0 lead by the end of the first.
The offensive pace continued in the second period as Layla Garofalo scored her first of the night just over three minutes in. Lexi Giller and Jenna Goblirsch followed with goals, including a shorthanded tally by Goblirsch, stretching the lead to 6-0 through two periods.
In the third, Farmington remained efficient, converting its second power-play opportunity with a goal from Taylor Risch at 7:41. Garofalo then closed out the game with back-to-back goals in a 36-second span, completing a hat trick and securing the 9-0 final.
Farmington outshot Hastings 64-7 and went 2-for-2 on the power play, while holding the Raiders to 0-for-1 with the advantage. Goaltender Addie Burggraaff stopped all seven shots faced to earn the shutout.

- Layla Garofalo recorded a hat trick with three goals on three shots in the second and third periods.
- Jenna Goblirsch tallied four points, finishing with one goal and three assists, including setups on both power-play goals.
- Norah Kratz contributed a goal and an assist while registering one shot on goal.
- Brynnly Scholla added two assists, including one on the shorthanded goal in the second period.
- Taylor Risch scored once on the power play and added one assist.
- Amelia Goblirsch scored on the power play in the first period.
- Addie Burggraaff earned the shutout in goal with seven saves in 51 minutes of play.
