HASTINGS, MN - The Farmington High School Girls Soccer team defeated Hastings 2-0 on Tuesday, August 31 in Hastings to improve to 3-0.
Senior Captain
Ava Johnson scored the only goal of the first half to make the score 1-0. With 2:20 left in the game,
Ava Johnson once again found the back of the net to extend the lead to 2-0.
Ayden Gagner earned the shutout in net.
With the 2-0 win in Hastings, girls soccer improves to 3-0 on the year.
On Monday, August 30, the Tigers defeated Rochester Century 4-2 at home. Trailing 0-1 early,
Jillian Hagman tied the score with a header assisted by
Maddie McGough.
Piper Hanley scored her first varsity goal to make the score 2-1.
Olivia Theirl made the score 3-1 just 55 seconds into the second half. Both Olivia and Piper's goals were assisted by
Tenley Voth. Senior Captain
Maddi Springer netted the final goal of the night.
The Tigers are back in action on Thursday, September 2 hosting the Hill-Murray Pioneers at Tiger Stadium. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
