Farmington Girls Soccer Wins 3-1

The Farmington Tigers had an opportunity to ascend the South Suburban standings with the Eastview Lightning in town and they would not disappoint, winning in convincing fashion 3-1.

Macyn Hins advanced the ball from Farmington's side of the field up to a racing Jillian Hagman. Hagman put a great ball into the box for Daniela Renteria who banged it off the right post. Lauren McGough was there for the rebound and the goal, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Tigers tacked on their second goal of the match as Olivia Thierl surveyed the field and found Taitym Voth for a shot from the right side of the box, which was partially saved, but not covered. Emma Schabert was right there for the cleanup and the goal, 2-0.

Eastview would get a goal back, making it 2-1. However, Schabert would tack on an assist to her impressive evening, finding Thierl on a breakaway for the finishing goal.

The Tigers got a crucial three points in the South Suburban standings and scored more goals in this match (3) than they had in the past seven matches total (2).

The victorious Tigers look to wrap up the season on a high note on Wednesday with Lakeville North coming to town on Wednesday for Senior Night.
