The Farmington Boys Hockey team notched their first win of the year behind their most impressive game to date.
Â
The Tigers took advantage of three different Eagan penalties in the first period, converting on the third one for a power play goal by
Evrett Bennett. The Tigers led 1-0 after one period of play.
Â
Penalties continued to fly on both sides in the second period. Both teams ended up committing five penalties through only two periods of play.
Â
The Tigers were not fazed however as they were able to kill each of their penalties off and tacked on two more goals at even strength. After assisting on the first goal,
Cody Shoyat notched a goal of his own. Lastly, Bennett would strike again for his second goal of the night. The Tigers headed into the second intermission with their most goals scored in a game this season.
Â
Eagan found their way back, clawing two goals across in the third period, but they wound up committing a total of eight penalties over the course of the game and Tigers were able to hold them off, 3-2.
