PRIOR LAKE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers extended their unbeaten streak but saw their perfect record come to a pause, skating to a 2-2 tie against Prior Lake on Saturday afternoon in South Suburban Conference play. The Tigers move to 5-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in conference action.
RECAP
Farmington jumped out to a fast start, netting two goals in the opening period. Drake Anderson opened the scoring at 8:19 of the first, finding the back of the net at even strength. Less than six minutes later, Jacob Whirley made it 2-0 with help from Joe Hambrecht and Tanner Gylling.
Prior Lake responded in the second period with a goal at 6:36 from Parker Wenkus, cutting the Tigers' lead in half. The Lakers tied the game just 20 seconds into the third period when Gavin Lind scored shorthanded, knotting the contest at 2-2.
Neither team could break through in overtime, despite Farmington generating three shots in the extra frame. The Tigers finished the game with 23 shots on goal to Prior Lake's 29.
Both squads were held scoreless on the power play, with Farmington going 0-for-2 and Prior Lake finishing 0-for-3. Chris Bade continued his strong play in net, turning away 27 shots for the Tigers.

Farmington will head to Rochester on Monday, December 16, for a non-conference matchup with the Century Panthers. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Rochester Graham Arena Complex.
