Farmington Boys Hockey (6-13-1, 4-10 SSC) squared off with SSC opponent Apple Valley (6-12-2, 2-9 SSC) on Tuesday, February 8 at Schmitz-Maki Arena in Farmington. The Tigers earned the 4-3 win.
The Eagles and Tigers traded first-period goals that left the game tied 1-1 at the end of the period.
Dominic Vogel scored an even strength goal from
Kyler Schwamb.
Apple Valley held Farmington scoreless in the second while the Eagles were able to find the back of the net one time to lead 2-1 at the end of two periods.
The Tigers came out hot scoring three unanswered goals (2 from
Hayden Sanborn; 1 from
Ryan Holmstrom) to take a 4-2 lead. Apple Valley would score one goal late in the third, however, the Tigers dashed their efforts at a comeback.
