Girls Hockey opened the Section 1 AA hockey tournament at home on Wednesday, February 9. The #3 seeded Tigers were hosting the #6 seeded Owatonna Huskies.
The game was close throughout the night. The first period ended in a 0-0 tie. Farmington's
Sam Moehle scored the game's first goal after she scored a shorthanded, second period goal. The Tigers held the lead 1-0 at the end of the period. Owatonna tied the game at 1:55 before
Ava Johnson gave Farmington the lead back. Just over one minute later, Owatonna would score another goal to force overtime.
At 2:12 in the first overtime period, Owatonna scored, ending the Tigers' season.
Farmington finishes its 2021-22 campaign 11-15, 9-9 SSC.
