Boys Golf traveled to the Northfield Golf Club on Thursday, April 21 to compete in a 15-team tournament. The Farmington boys came home as tournament winners with a team score of 310.
Junior Kyler Schwamb was Farmington's top finisher, shooting a 69. Schwamb would par the first three holes and earn a birdie on hole four, however, back-to-back bogeys on five and six put Schwamb 1-over par after the front nine. Schwamb played a great back nine that included three birdies (hole twelve, thirteen, and fifteen) as well as an eagle on hole sixteen. His 4-under par back nine performance earned him a 69 overall.
Junior Zach Rouleau shot a 76 on the day. Birdies on holes six and twelve kept Rouleau's score low. Cale Thompson was the Tigers' 3rd place finisher at 80. Thompson made par on 10 of his 18 holes and birdied on hole twelve. Will Bassett shot an 85 on the day, Dylan Olson shot an 86 and Joey Johnson shot a 90.
Weather pending, the Tigers will travel to Brackett's Crossing in Lakeville for a South Suburban Conference match on Monday, April 25.
