Farmington, Minn. -- Farmington High School wrestling coach Jon Heeren will take on the role of Interim Head Wrestling Coach for the 2023-24 season.
Coach Heeren began his coaching career after graduating college where he participated in both football and wrestling. He was a head wrestling coach at Woodbury High School in the late 2000's and was a varsity football assistant at St. Paul Central High School before coming to Farmington. He has been with the Farmington Wrestling program for the last 10 years serving as varsity assistant coach and head middle school coach. He also served as football coach at the 9th and 10th grade levels as a defensive coordinator.
The 2023-24 MSHSL wrestling season begins on Monday, November 20, 2023. The Tigers open up their season on the road on Saturday, December 2 when they travel to Edina High School to compete in the annual Edina Wrestling Invitational.
