Northfield, Minn. -- In a non-conference boys swimming and diving meet on Tuesday, December 12, at Northfield Middle School, the Farmington Tigers faced off against the Northfield Raiders, ultimately falling short with a final score of 96-82.
Despite the team's overall defeat, standout performances by Farmington swimmers highlighted the meet. Jake Peterson showcased his prowess by clinching the top spot in the 200 yard IM, finishing with an impressive time of 2:06.28. Adam Moorlach dominated the 50 yard freestyle, claiming victory with a swift time of 23.43.
Peterson continued to make waves in the 100 yard butterfly, securing another first-place finish with a time of 55.73. Moorlach once again demonstrated his speed and skill, taking the top spot in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 51.12. Sophomore Hantruy Nguyen excelled in the 500 yard freestyle, claiming victory with a time of 5:15.67.
The Farmington Tigers' relay team, consisting of Adam Moorlach, Eli Montgomery, Hantruy Nguyen, and Jake Peterson, emerged triumphant in the 400 yard freestyle relay, crossing the finish line in 3:28.13.
Although the team faced a challenging opponent in the Northfield Raiders, individual achievements showcased the talent and determination of Farmington's swimmers in this non-conference meet.
