Swim & Dive Opens Season with 101-73 Victory Over Burnsville

FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington boys swim and dive team started the 2025-26 season strong, earning a 101-73 win over Burnsville on Friday night at the Dodge Middle School Pool. The Tigers controlled the meet from start to finish, winning nine varsity events and sweeping the top three spots in several races.

Tyler West led the Tigers with a standout performance, clocking an outstanding 22.99 in the 50-yard freestyle to take first place. He also posted a 54.64 split in the 400 freestyle relay and swam a strong leg in Farmington's second-place 200 free relay.

The Tigers opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay (1:49.12), with Daniel Budde, Collin Hawkins, Justin Raymond, and Hantury Nyugen combining for the victory. Farmington also took first and second in the 200 freestyle, with Eli Gobar winning in 2:02.39 and Wyatt Ziegler and Wyatt Conine close behind.

Eli Montgomery won the 200 IM (2:10.91), while Budde (1:03.45), Hawkins (1:05.84), and Evan Christensen (1:08.20) swept the top three in the 100 butterfly. Nyugen added a win in the 100 freestyle (50.21), with Montgomery and Ziegler finishing second and third, respectively.

Raymond dominated the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:21.26, and Farmington's relays continued to shine. The Tigers went 1-2 in the 200 freestyle relay and posted fast unofficial times in the 400 freestyle relay, including a 50.02 anchor leg from Montgomery.
