LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers Boys Swim & Dive team placed third overall at the MSHSL Section 1AA Championships, held Wednesday, February 18 through Friday, February 20 at the Blanchard Aquatic Center. The Tigers scored 273 team points, finishing behind Rochester Century and Lakeville North in the final standings.

Farmington was highlighted by two relay teams earning state-qualifying performances and securing their spots at the MSHSL Class AA State Meet.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Tyler West, Justin Raymond, Eli Montgomery, and Hantruy Nguyen delivered a third-place finish with a state-qualifying time of 1:27.26. The mark not only secured a berth at state but also established a new Farmington High School record in the event.
The same quartet returned in the 400-yard freestyle relay and again placed third, clocking a qualifying time of 3:15.59 to earn their second trip to state. Their consistent performances across both relays provided key points in the team standings.
Individually, Farmington swimmers contributed several top-eight finishes. Hantruy Nguyen placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.75) and added a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (48.70). Justin Raymond finished seventh in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.16) and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (55.87). Eli Montgomery took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (21.98) and fifth in the 100-yard freestyle (49.20), while Tyler West added a sixth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (22.06) and sixth in the 100-yard freestyle (49.31).
Additional scoring efforts came from Daniel Budde, who placed ninth in the 100-yard butterfly (56.63) and ninth in the 100-yard backstroke (56.55). Collin Hawkins finished 10th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.79) and eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.71). Eli Gobar placed ninth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.36) and 11th in the 500-yard freestyle (5:20.17). Emilio Loza added a seventh-place finish in diving with a score of 236.80, and Noah Roth contributed with a 16th-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:50.52) and 14th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.02).
