Farmington, Minn. -- In the 19th Annual Louis Schmitz Holiday Classic hosted by Farmington at the Schmitz-Maki Arena, the Farmington Tigers demonstrated a strong performance finishing with a 2-1 record.
In their opening game against New Prague, the Tigers dominated with a commanding 9-0 victory.
Lexi Giller led the scoring charge with a goal at 1:22 in the first period, and the team continued to capitalize with goals from
Jenna Goblirsch,
Amelia Goblirsch,
Morgan Mitchell, and Josey Empey. Farmington showcased their offensive skill, outshooting New Prague 61 to 15. The Tigers effectively shut down New Prague's power plays and received no penalties. For a box score, click

In the second game against Owatonna, Farmington secured another win, thumping the Section 1AA opponent 3-1. Jenna Goblirsch and Amelia Goblirsch put Farmington on the board in the first period, with Mitchell adding another goal in the third. Despite facing six power plays from Owatonna, Farmington's defense remained resilient, allowing only one goal. In a hard-fought battle against undefeated Northfield, Farmington faced their only setback, falling 5-2. Jenna Goblirsch and Lexi Giller contributed goals, but Northfield's Ayla Puppe emerged as a scoring force netting all five goals for the opponents. The Tigers, though outshot 30 to 29, demonstrated determination in penalty killing and limited Northfield's power-play success to 20%.
