The Tigers made it four straight victories to close out the regular season with a 5-1 wire-to-wire win over Rosemount on Saturday.
Â
The Tigers struck for two goals in the first period from
Jenna Goblirsch and
Kennedy Meier. They took the 2-0 lead into the second period.
Â
The Tigers notched another goal in the second thanks to
Makenna Kadrlik's rip from the right wing.
Â
The Tigers would go on to finish off the Irish with two more goals tacked on in the final period. Goblirsch nabbed her second of the afternoon, then a special moment occurred. Senior
Megan Stoa grabbed the puck and fired the length of the ice on the empty net for the finishing goal, sending the team and crowd into a frenzy.
Â
Addison Moudry was incredible in net once again only allowing one goal passed and it came almost meaninglessly in the third period with the game already pretty much in hand. The red-hot Tigers head to section playoffs next.
