The #2 Farmington Tigers (17-10, 10-8 SSC) made quick work of #7 Northfield (15-12, 13-9 Big 9) on Tuesday night at Farmington High School earning the Section 1 AAAA quarterfinal victory 101-83 over the Raiders.
Brandon Hrncir lead the team in points scoring 26.
Nik Domier scored 16 points,
Connor Todd scored 14 points, and
Baiden Bean scored 10 points.Â
Farmington set the pace turning the first half into a track meet that the Raiders struggled to keep up with. The Tigers'Â hot start scored 55 points through the first 18 minutes.
Brandon Hrncir was red-hot sinking four three point buckets in a row and finished the half with an impressive 21 points. Northfield managed to pull within 7-points after earning a turnover bucket followed by a big three pointer, however, the Tigers' pace had them up 13 points just two minutes later. The first half ended with Farmington leading 55-39.
The track race continued as the Tigers poured on the pressure, and the points, throughout the second half. Farmington packed on another 46 second-half points. A
Justin Stoneburg layup in the final two minutes of the game sent the Tigers over the century mark.

Farmington will advance to the Section 1 AAAA semifinal game where they will play a familiar foe, #3 Lakeville South, on Saturday, March 11 with a scheduled 7:00 pm tip-off.
The Tigers and Cougars have split games this season. Lakeville South earned a victory over Farmington on January 27 defeating the Tigers 54-51. Farmington avenged the loss in the pair's second meeting beating South 48-39 on February 28.
