Apple Valley, Minn. -- In a riveting SSC meet, the Farmington Tigers showcased their aquatic prowess against the Apple Valley Eagles, securing a hard-fought victory with a final score of 94-89. The varsity competition was marked by stellar performances, notably by
Adam Moorlach (11), who displayed exceptional speed in the 50 freestyle and 500 freestyle, slashing an impressive 1:09.70 off his previous best time in the latter event.
Jake Peterson (12) exhibited his swimming prowess by clinching first place in the 100 Butterfly and the 100 Backstroke.
The 100 Freestyle witnessed a dominant display from the Tigers, with a podium sweep led by Hantruy Nguyen (10) in 1st, Eli Montgomery (10) securing 2nd, and Daniel Budde (10) claiming 3rd while establishing a new personal best time. Hantruy Nguyen continued his stellar performance in the 100 Breaststroke, securing 1st place and setting another personal best, followed closely by Collin Hawkins in 2nd.
In the junior varsity category, the Tigers continued their impressive form. Elbi Gobar (9) led a clean sweep in the 100 Freestyle, followed by Wyatt Ziegler (8) in 2nd and Ethan Lyons (11) in 3rd. Will Grimm (12) notched a victory in the 50 Freestyle, setting a new personal best time. A noteworthy highlight was Noah Roth (7) completing his first 500-meter swim in under seven minutes, shaving an impressive 14.71 seconds off his time and finishing 5th with a commendable time of 6:55.25. The Farmington Tigers' performance in both varsity and junior varsity categories reflects their commitment to excellence in the pool.
