Farmington, Minn. -- In a closely contested boys swim and dive meet, Farmington High School's Tigers faced off against the Lakeville South Cougars, resulting in a 97-83 victory for the Cougars. The Varsity competition showcased notable performances by the Farmington squad. The 200 Freestyle Relay team, comprising

Jake Peterson, secured a 1st-place finish.
Jake Peterson, demonstrating his prowess in the pool, claimed 2nd place in both the 100 Butterfly and the 100 Breaststroke, achieving new personal best times.
Hudson Maakestad showcased a strong performance in the 200 IM, shaving off 1.49 seconds from his best time and clinching 3rd place. In the Diving event, Logan Lescher secured 2nd place, improving his score by an impressive 12.25 points.
On the JV front, the Tigers displayed their competitive spirit in the 500 free, with a tight finish that saw Evan Christensen claiming 1st place with a time of 6:37.50, slashing 29.68 seconds off his best time. Noah Roth secured 2nd place with a time of 6:37.99, reducing his personal best by 17.26 seconds. Wyatt Zieger excelled in the 100 Breaststroke, taking 1st place and cutting 5.42 seconds off his time. Eli Gobar emerged victorious in the 200 Freestyle, while Ethan Lyons captured 3rd place with a personal best time of 1:00.60. Despite the Tigers' commendable individual efforts, the Lakeville South Cougars emerged as the overall winners in this closely contested meet.
