ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls hockey team suffered their first loss of the season on Thursday night, falling 4-1 to the Rosemount Irish at the Rosemount Community Center. The Tigers, now 3-1 overall and 2-1 in South Suburban Conference play, saw a tight contest slip away as the Irish capitalized on their opportunities to improve to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the SSC.
RECAP
Farmington opened the scoring early in the first period when Addison Trapp found the back of the net at 4:22 on an even-strength goal. However, Rosemount quickly responded, tying the game at 8:27 and taking the lead at 14:14 with two first-period goals.
The second period saw the Irish extend their lead to 3-1 with a goal midway through the frame. Farmington struggled to break through Rosemount's defense, despite putting nine shots on net.
In the third period, Rosemount sealed the game with a power-play goal at 15:19, taking advantage of a Farmington penalty. The Tigers managed just five shots on goal in the final frame as they tried to claw back but couldn't close the gap.

- Addison Trapp scored Farmington's lone goal, her first of the season.
- Goaltender Makena Underwood made 28 saves on 32 shots, posting an .875 save percentage.

The Tigers will travel to the Blake School for a non-conference matchup with the Bears on Saturday, November 23. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
