STILLWATER, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls basketball team faced a tough challenge on Tuesday night, falling to the Stillwater Ponies 56-36 in a non-conference matchup at Stillwater High School. The Tigers struggled offensively while the Ponies capitalized on their opportunities to secure the win.
RECAP
Farmington fell behind early, trailing 24-12 at halftime as Stillwater controlled the pace with strong shooting and a dominant presence in the paint. The Tigers were unable to close the gap in the second half, with the Ponies outscoring them 32-24.
Despite shooting struggles, Farmington worked hard on the boards, grabbing 25 offensive rebounds and converting six second-chance points. The Tigers' defense forced 17 turnovers but couldn't overcome Stillwater's efficient shooting, as the Ponies shot 39.6% from the field compared to Farmington's 17.1%.

- Hannah Hansen led the Tigers with 16 points, shooting 5-for-10 from the field and adding five rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.
- Maggie Griffin contributed five points while leading the team with eight rebounds and two blocks.
- Ali Simonson scored five points and grabbed six rebounds.
UP NEXT
Farmington will look to bounce back on Saturday, November 30, when they travel to Woodbury High School for a 1:00 p.m. non-conference game against the Royals.
