APPLE VALLEY, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers and Eastview Lightning battled to a thrilling 4-4 tie in a South Suburban Conference clash on Saturday evening at Eastview High School. The game went to overtime, but neither team could find the net in the extra frame, resulting in a draw.
RECAP
Farmington jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Amara Zens and Amelia Goblirsch. The Tigers carried the momentum into the second period, but Eastview clawed back with two goals of their own, leveling the score at 2-2 midway through the game. Layla Garofalo gave Farmington the lead back late in the second with a well-placed shot, making it 3-2 heading into the final frame.
In the third period, Goblirsch added her second goal of the game at 15:03 to give the Tigers a 4-2 advantage. However, Eastview responded quickly with two goals in under two minutes, including the equalizer by Sari Cords at 16:42, sending the game to overtime.
Despite outshooting the Lightning 5-0 in the extra period, the Tigers were unable to capitalize, and the game ended in a 4-4 tie.

- Amara Zens recorded a goal and an assist, contributing to the Tigers' strong offensive performance.
- Amelia Goblirsch led the way with two goals, including one in the third period to momentarily extend Farmington's lead.
- Goaltender Addison Moudry made 19 saves on 23 shots, keeping the Tigers in the game.

Farmington (6-4-1, 5-1-1 SSC) will hit the road again on Thursday, December 19, for another SSC matchup against the Lakeville North Panthers. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
