LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers fought valiantly but fell short against the Lakeville North Panthers on Tuesday night, 6-3. Despite a strong third-period push, the Tigers were unable to overcome an early deficit in the South Suburban Conference matchup.
RECAP
Lakeville North came out firing, scoring four goals in the first period to establish an early lead. The Tigers managed to stabilize in the second period, with Evrett Bennett netting Farmington's first goal on a power play, assisted by Jacob Miller. However, Lakeville North added two more goals in the period, including a short-handed effort, to maintain control.
Farmington rallied in the final frame, cutting into the Panthers' lead with two power-play goals. Jacob Miller scored the first, with an assist from Jackson Donahue, and Donahue followed shortly after with a goal assisted by Nick Marsh and AJ Vinar. Despite outshooting Lakeville North 34-32, the Tigers could not close the gap as the Panthers held firm defensively.
