Farmington Swim and Dive Compete in Dual Meet Against Rosemount High School

ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers boys' swim and dive team competed against the Rosemount Irish in a dual meet on Friday, December 20, 2024. The Tigers delivered a strong performance, securing a victory in Varsity with a final score of 103-82 but falling short in JV with a score of 37-10.

RECAP
Farmington's varsity team started strong with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, with the team of Daniel Budde, Hantruy Nguyen, Hudson Maakestad, and Tyler West finishing with a time of 1:47.54.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Justin Raymond claimed second place with a time of 1:53.95, followed closely by Eli Montgomery in third at 1:55.69.

Senior Hantruy Nguyen shined in the 200-yard individual medley (IM), taking first place with an impressive time of 2:06.71, while Collin Hawkins secured fourth with a time of 2:18.35.

Sprinter Adam Moorlach dominated the 50-yard freestyle, taking first place with a time of 22.52, while Tyler West earned third with 23.73.

In the 100-yard butterfly, Hudson Maakestad finished first with a time of 59.45, with Tyler West and Eli Montgomery taking second and third, respectively.

Justin Raymond put forth a strong effort in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing fourth with a time of 5:12.09.

Farmington's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Adam Moorlach, Eli Montgomery, Hantruy Nguyen, and Justin Raymond secured a commanding first-place finish with a time of 1:33.46.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Daniel Budde claimed victory with a time of 1:00.80, and Wyatt Conine followed in third at 1:08.39.

For the 100-yard breaststroke, Collin Hawkins finished second with 1:10.09, and Hudson Maakestad followed closely in fourth at 1:14.60.

The meet concluded with an exciting win in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as the team of Adam Moorlach, Justin Raymond, Eli Montgomery, and Tyler West clocked in at 3:27.87.
