Tigers Split SSC Double Dual, Top Lakeville South After Falling to Shakopee

FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers wrestling team hosted a South Suburban Conference double dual on Wednesday night, squaring off against the Shakopee Sabers and the Lakeville South Cougars. The evening featured high-energy action as the Tigers showcased grit and determination, splitting the duals with a loss to Shakopee and a bounce-back win over Lakeville South.

DUAL 1 SHAKOPEE 52, FARMINGTON 23
The Tigers opened the night against a strong Shakopee squad that demonstrated its depth across the weight classes. Farmington highlights included Tyler Chenevert's lightning-fast pin in just 19 seconds at 121 pounds and Ethan Mangowi's fall at 139 pounds in 1:02. At 152 pounds, Davis Parrow dominated with a technical fall, finishing 16-1 in just over two minutes. Heavyweight William Preston added six points to the Tigers' total with a third-period fall.

Despite these victories, Shakopee's lineup proved too powerful, securing pins and technical falls in multiple matches to claim the dual.

DUAL 2 FARMINGTON 44, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 29
Farmington rebounded in the second dual of the night, starting strong with several early pins. Mason Stenson (107), Tyler Chenevert (121), and Blake Han-Lindemyer (127) each earned falls, while Zak Shafer picked up a hard-fought 15-8 decision at 133 pounds.

The Tigers continued to dominate, with Ethan Mangowi adding a technical fall at 139 and Chase Stevens pinning his opponent in just 29 seconds at 145. Davis Parrow (152) and Easton Clark (160) added to the momentum, each recording pins to help secure the victory.

While Lakeville South managed wins at 172, 189, 215, and heavyweight, the early lead built by Farmington proved insurmountable, resulting in a decisive conference win for the Tigers.

UP NEXT
The Farmington girls wrestlers head to Lake City for a girls-only tournament on December 6. The team will return to dual action on December 12 when they host the Burnsville Blaze at Farmington High School at 7:00 p.m.
