ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – The No. 5 seeded Farmington Tigers opened postseason competition at the MSHSL Section 2 Class AAA Team Wrestling Tournament with a 39-29 quarterfinal victory over No. 4 Eastview before falling 41-23 to top-seeded Prior Lake in the semifinal round, concluding the 2025-26 team season.
RECAP
In the quarterfinal dual against Eastview, Farmington secured seven match victories to build the 10-point margin. The Tigers started strong at 107 pounds, where eighth-grader Lucas Stevens (20-10) recorded a fall in 2:39. After Eastview responded with wins at 114 and 121, Farmington regained momentum at 127 as Jaxson Wheeler earned a technical fall.
Blake Han-Lindemyer (20-5) added a first-period pin at 133, and senior Timothy Mangowi (33-1) followed with a fall at 145 to keep the Tigers in control. Chase Stevens posted a technical fall at 152, and senior Davis Parrow (40-1) delivered a 19-4 technical fall at 160. Vincent Jacobs capped the run with a pin at 172 as Farmington built a decisive lead. Despite late wins by Eastview at 189, 215, and 285, the Tigers held on for the 39-29 victory to advance.
In the semifinal matchup against No. 1 Prior Lake, Farmington opened with another strong performance from Lucas Stevens, who earned a 16-0 technical fall at 107. Blake Han-Lindemyer followed with an 8-3 decision at 127, and Chase Stevens secured a 16-6 major decision at 145.
Mangowi continued his standout season with a 21-5 technical fall at 152, while Parrow added a fall at 172 to contribute six team points. Prior Lake capitalized in several swing matches, recording five pins and two major decisions to secure the 41-23 team victory.
